On July 16, a “Sanube Bobbycar Race” was held for the first time in Hartwagen.
10 teams, each with driver, mechanic and grid girl (m/f/d), were entitled to start. All racing machines (Bobbycars) were painstakingly pimped out in advance by their owners and thus made suitable for adults to drive.

Numerous spectators and invited, friendly companies strongly cheered on the race teams along the course. Fastest and thus winner of the race over the approx. 500 m long track was the team of “3Q” with driver Dietmar Kaltenböck, mechanic Christian Geier and grid girl Hannes Froschauer. The other places went to the team “Bierhorn” and the team “Sparefroh (Sparkasse Schärding)”. The winning team presented a check for 2000,-€ (donated by Sanube GmbH and Sparkasse Schärding) to the association “Hand in Hand” at the award ceremony.

At the subsequent victory celebration, further large amounts were collected from various companies and private individuals. Thus, a proud 7330,-€ could be donated. For several years, Sanube GmbH has been supporting the association “Hand in Hand”, which helps and assists with palliative illnesses in children, such as Tay-Sachs disease (a rare genetic defect). Part of this sum is also invested in research into therapies and medicines.
